IT Application Specialist – Maastricht

Introduction

For our client Fenzi AGT (as a part of Fenzi Group, which is the worldwide leader in chemicals for the glass processing industry), we are currently seeking an experienced IT Application Specialist to join the IT team. Fenzi AGT is starting a project to replace the current application landscape with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for locations in the Netherlands and USA.

Fenzi Advanced Glass Technologies (AGT) is an autonomous Business Unit within the Fenzi Group. Fenzi AGT produces high-tech semi-finished products and end products for the glass and ceramic industry. Our products are marketed all over the world and find their way to the automotive and glass industries. The head office of the Business Unit is based in Maastricht and production sites are located in the Netherlands, USA and various locations in Asia. Fenzi AGT in Maastricht employs 200 employees.

Function

As an IT Application Specialist you have to deliver high quality IT application support (manage incidents and change requests, complete the initial diagnosis of incidents, manage the implementation of standard and non-standard change requests) to business users for internally managed IT application(s) (mainly Microsoft Dynamics).

Your tasks include:

  • Receive and log incidents and standard change requests using the IT ticket system, while ensuring accurate data entry

  • Manage all incidents and change requests assigned via the IT ticket system (escalation to second/third line support where required), while maintaining business users satisfaction, service level agreements and key performance indicators

  • Provide timely feedback and status updates to business users for all incidents and change requests assigned

  • Provide pro-active IT support to business key-users by organizing training sessions or promoting best practices

  • Maintain user access and authentication, while adhering to system security and internal control procedures

  • Define and monitor (automated) system control alerts and coordinate corrective actions with business users

  • Create and maintain documentation to support the resolution of incidents and the fulfilment of change requests

  • Active involvement in team meetings, trainings and other events to support further development and improvement of the IT application support department

  • Pro-active monitoring of the applications to detect (and prevent) issues in advance

  • Drive the inintiation, planning, sourcing, design and implementation of small to medium sized projects bases on in-depth understanding of business processes and (new) IT technology standards, while adhering to application architecture standards

  • Implementing standard change request based on approved IT processes adn procedures

  • Authorize support & change request orders to third party using agreed business processes

  • Lead small to medium sized IT projects.

Requirements

We believe the ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum bachelor degree in business or computer sciences

  • Minimal 5 years business process knowledge in an industrial production environment

  • In-depth knowledge of and 5-10 years experience with an integrated ERP system (ideally MS Dynamics365) and related systems (e.g. D365 add-ons, CRM, workflow tools, reporting tools, etc.)

  • Knowledge of and experience with ITIL processes related to IT application support (e.g. issue-management, problem management, change management, etc)

  • Analytical and conceptual skills to analyze and resolve incidents and standard change requests

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies

We are looking for an IT Application Specialist with strong analytical and conceptual skills to keep the overview and set priorities and communication skills on IT level. Hands-on mentality with a focus to deliver results maintaining service level agreements and key performance indicators. Flexibility to deal with a dynamic and fast changing business environment. Good language skills (fluent in English)
